is the event that on March 8, 2021 will see students and teachers from twenty-one Universities of the five continents, from Adelaide to Siena, from Paris to San Paolo, from Quito to Yekaterinburg, from Fribourg to Buenos Aires, from Ravenna to Shanghai, from Santiniketan to New York, from Barcelona to Los Angeles, from Göttingen to Toronto, from Amsterdam to Johannesburg, reciting, animating and remarking in the language of their country the V canto of Hell with the most famous verses of the world, dedicated to passion and to the kiss, in an ecumenical embrace
The performances will be streamed live via social media and a dedicated website.
The videos will be used to produce a documentary film and a print publication for educational and informative purposes.
The direction of the event will be at the Amintore Galli Theater in Rimini and the performances will follow one another online from 9.30 am, UTC + 1 and will be shared on social media channels.

The initiative, planned and organized by Centro Internazionale di Studi Francesca da Rimini , is promoted by the Municipalities of Rimini and Gradara.
The Scientific Committee, composed of eminent Dante scholars, is international and prestigious too.
Why March 8? It’s simple: the myth of Francesca da Rimini, first narrated by Dante, explodes in the Enlightenment and Romanticism when she is portrayed as a woman who is no longer a sinner but an innocent victim of deceptions and violence, an eemblem of beauty, freedom and courage: faithful until death to the man she was led to believe she was to marry.
A warrior Francesca, whose mission, even today, when over fifty thousand women are killed every year by close companions or family members and twelve million underage young women are forced to marry, is yet to be accomplished.
The project is part of the official calendar of the “Comitato Nazionale per le Celebrazioni dantesche 2021”.

Thirty cultural events in the Malatesta castles between Romagna and Marche, promoted by the Municipalities of Rimini and Gradara and by the Regions Emilia-Romagna and Marche.
It’s about thirty events, under the sign of Francesca da Rimini, that will see the extraordinary heroine of the passion of love invading towns and castles of the valleys of Rimini with exhibitions, theatrical, musical and film shows, conventions and conference days.
Thirty events with historical, literary, artistic re-enactments and with, not less important, moments of reflection on the topicality of the values still today represented by the myth of Francesca da Rimini.
