On March 8, 2021 students and teachers from twenty-one Universities of the five continents, will recite, animate and remark, in the language of their country, the verses of Francesca da Rimini in canto V of Hell, with the most famous verses of the world, dedicated to passion and to the kiss
Their performances will be streamed live via social media and a dedicated website.
BACI DAL MONDO | WORLDWIDE KISSES besides being a coral tribute to Dante and to Francesca, will be a testament to the universality of the Poet and of the positive values represented by by his most beloved creature

Francesca is a literary figure. At the beginning “Francesca da Polenta” was considered a sinner in Hell for Dante and for commentators of ancient times.
Then, her character was transformed into a virtuous heroine, daughter of the Enlightenment and Romanticism, destined to inspire more than a thousand artists, of every expressive form of art, all around the world.
She became, between the nineteenth and twentieth century, myth and icon of fidelity, freedom and respect for the fundamental rights of the human being.
